David asks…Is the virtual world going to disappear?We know a bit about the Egyptians because they engraved heiroglyphics on stone. We know a bit about William the Conqueror because we have some writings from his time (eg Doomsday book). But nowdays, everything is digital, and if this years version isn't backwards compatible with last year's then you can't read last year's data.
So 1000 years from now, when no one has backwards compatible digital media that can read today's virtual records,
